Level 2 Authorized teacher by Sharath Jois

Pilar has been practicing different styles of yoga for years, but when she discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2014, she instantly fell in love with this practice, as she deeply connected with the profound and transformative experience of combining breath and meditation with movement.
She quit her job in the international media field and started traveling to Mysore, India, to practice with her teacher and Guru, Sharath Jois. That´s where following her heart decided to create “Balearic Retreats” and bring some of the Mysore Magic to her home island, Mallorca, to later expand it to many other countries.
She has experience organizing retreats for very well known yoga teachers, and combines it with her yearly trips to Mysore and teaching both national and internationally.

Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, Level 1

I was born in Ecuador and I traveled to Spain at the age of 17. There I studied Law in the university and years later I started my career in Fashion luxury retail, career that i was doing together with my yoga teachings. Since April 2018, I left my job and I’m fully immerse in our own yoga shala named Mysore Mallorca.

I started yoga at the age of 18, because Doctors found me a minor issue with my heart. I met Lleo around that age and since then we dived together in this beautiful journey. When I started I stay the first 2-3 years doing basics asanas because of my health, the ashtanga yoga was tough at the beginning but with practice I started to feeling better every day and it became easier day by day. Thanks to Lleo, I learned how to introduce a healthy diet, meditations in my daily routines and also a different perspective of living. I did my first trip to India on 2013, Year that I got completely cure from my heart and since that time I usually go yearly to meet my teacher Sharath Jois. I got authorized to teach ashtanga yoga method in 2016. On August 2018, Lleo and I assisted our teacher in the main shala in Mysore India. I also assisted with so many certified ashtanga teachers and learned from them. Currently apart from our yoga regular mysore classes in our shala in Mallorca, we also travel to teach around the world.

Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, Level 2

I started to practice Hatha yoga in my 20’s as a therapeutic activity. On the 30’s I discovered the Ashtanga Yoga system and I started my regular trips to the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore where I got my authorisation level 2.

I’ve been practicing with most of the grate senior Ashtanga Yoga Teachers in the world and taking pieces of her methods and energies.

Now I’m reaching the 40’s and I can say something about me; my style is an optimistic and therapeutic way of teaching. I think Ashtanga is a very powerful method and rich in elements, but it needs some anatomical ingredients to be perfect. It is passion for me to enhance the practice of each of my students and take care of them. These days I’m alternating my work at my studio Mysore Mallorca with the teachings in different countries around the world.
