During our Balearic Retreats the most awaited moment is the brunch, and the green smoothie is our favorite!

Towards the end of the morning practice, and following the smells of the kitchen and what our lovelies chefs are preparing, we can observe than not the mind nor our bellies are longer present in the room, and it´s normal knowing what is waiting for us.

We count with a specialist in nutrition in our team, yumyumguru is her name, and she makes sure that not only us end up satisfied, but also our bodies do, including in the daily menu all the nutrients needed to nourish it and love it.

And everybody loves our Green Smoothie. Do you want to know the recipe?

Here it goes:

  • Frozen bananas to have a better and thicker consistency and keep it fresh
  • Avocado
  • Kale
  • Goji Berries
  • Chia seeds
  • Flax seeds
  • Spirulina
  • Chlorella
  • Maca
  • Coconut milk
  • Dates (optional)

These are some of the benefits of this delicious elixir:

Bananas: contain several essential nutrients, and have benefits for digestion, heart health and weight loss.

Avocado: It is often referred to as a superfood… which is not surprising given its health properties. It is very nutritious and contains a wide variety of nutrients, including 20 different vitamins and minerals. They contain more potassium than banana, loads of fiber and antioxidants. It lowers the cholesterol and triglycerides, helps prevent cancer and relieves symptoms of arthritis.

Kale: one of the healthiest and most nutritious plants in earth. It´s loaded with antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin K, minerals, protein, etc. Also helps to prevent cancer, lowers the cholesterol and protects the eyes.

Goji berries: Packed with a high vitamins and minerals, and a dense protein value, this superfood will help increase your overall well-being.

Chia seeds: Chia means “strength” in the Mayan language. Chia seed benefits include promoting healthy skin, reducing signs of aging, supporting the heart and digestive system, building stronger bones and muscles and more.
