Ashtanga is a dynamic style of yoga that consists of a series of postures linked by vinyasa, which is a sequence of movements synchronized with the breath. This vigorous practice produces an internal heat that purifies the body and nervous system while developing strength, stamina, and control of both body and mind.
This retreat is designed any person who wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and the cold winter, who wants to take some days to reconnect with your inner self, practicing yoga daily and treating yourself with a magical experience.
Pilar and Ximena have come together to create this special retreat in a carefully chosen this luxurious center, where you will wake up with the first rays of the sun kissing your skin and fall sleep with the sound of the waves underneath you.
We´ll start the mornings with an optional 30-minute sitting practice (meditation) follow by Ashtanga Yoga practice, a style that focuses on the synchronicity of breath and movement. Don´t be afraid if you are a beginner or never tried Ashtanga before, this style is adapted to all levels since it´s a self-practice. The teachers are there to hold the space for you and give you the tools needed for your own exploration, but the journey is only yours and we hope you can continue this amazing journey back home!
We want to keep a small group to make sure that everybody receives the attention they deserve.
We will have workshops in selected afternoons to understand better the foundation of this practice both in a physical and philosophical way.
The retreat will also provide do other activities not related with yoga!
Besides having the opportunity to get to know people with similar interest, you will have the opportunity to spend some days in the paradise island of Koh Samui where your only worry will be the flavor of your next fresh juice. You will be spoiled with a 60 min Thai massage, travel to neighbor islands to discover the beauty and richness of the sea, visit ancients temples around, relax watching the sea and have a wonderful time.
