Today we would like to talk about the benefits of Yoga and how the discipline can transform and therefore improve your body and your general health. It’s been proven by several studies, conducted among some American universities and European and Indian medical science centres, that some forms of Yoga, such as the Hata Yoga, can improve the cognitive functions, boosting focus and memory. Meanwhile other kind of yoga had been found to be effective in increasing shoulders, back and hamstring flexibility.
A 2009 pilot study found that practising Yoga increases bone density among older adults and that woman practising Yoga are experimenting higher sexual satisfaction and a boost of arousal desire and orgasms helping them become more familiar with their own bodies.
Some other Yoga related practises, such as meditation and capability of controlling the breath movements, could be more effective in reducing pain and improving mood, more than standard medical treatment used for chronic back problems.
