Sedentary will kill you while Yoga will save your body and your soul.
Scientists have shown that sedentary behaviour such as sitting all day long is a risk factor for earlier death. In a recent aging study from the BLSA (Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging) about how chronic inflammations ages the body has proved a close relationship between chronic diseases and the human cells aging.
Dr. Luisi Ferrucci, former director and scientist of BLSA says:
“Chronic inflammations are the strongest predictor of comorbidity”
The comorbidity is the presence of several disorders and/or diseases, the BLSA has shown that being affected by it is an indicator of how rapidly a person is aging. The reason why it happens is because immune system’s natural reaction to abuses causes a constant state of alert which is the first signal of body malfunctioning.
Scientists are definitely sure that inflammations are aging accelerator but also that some habits have been linked to lower inflammation: a diet rich of omega-3 fatty acids (from plants), mindfulness meditation and regular exercise.
