This is a two week retreat and we encourage you to have the full experience, however we understand your life commitments so its also available for one week only.

We are honoured to host a two week intensive retreat with Laruga Glaser for the seventh consecutive year. She will be accompanied by David Fredriksson who will be supporting her teachings.

During this retreat we will start the day with a Mysore class based on the traditional method of Ashtanga yoga. All guests will be self-led into the practice under the watchful guidance and supportive instruction of Laruga and David. This will be an exciting opportunity to become more profoundly grounded and immersed in the practice within the beautiful natural setting of Mallorca.

The evening workshops will be dedicated to all aspects of the Ashtanga yoga methodology including practical techniques and philosophical wisdom in regards to integrating yoga principles into daily life. This is a time to be inspired and more deeply rooted within the true nature of the Self through the context of Ashtanga yoga and all the beauty and insight it entails. This retreat is appropriate for all levels.

This retreat will be held in two locations, the Villa and the Finca, both equally stunning properties 100m away from each other. Both properties, its wonderful gardens, pools and surrounding will be available for everybody but you can choose which one to stay in.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Laruga Glaser

KPJAYI CERTIFIED TEACHER

Laruga has been practicing Ashtanga yoga continuously for over 24 years. Starting in the beginning of her 20s, she was immediately drawn to the practice after working with other forms of yoga years prior. After establishing a committed practice she then deepened her studies traveling to Mysore, India annually to practice at KPJAYI where the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois taught and now his grandson, R. Sharath Jois teaches.

Laruga has made more than 14 trips to Mysore and is on a mission to continue to learn and grow as a student as well as a teacher. She is one of the few in the world who have been given the distinction of being certified to teach up to Advanced B, which is not easily given and takes many years to earn. Through it all, Laruga teaches as an act of deep sharing and love for what yoga develops in each individual, facilitating space to open, challenge, and inspire those to realize their inherent potential, and has been personally invited all over the world to do so.

David Fredriksson

David Fredriksson took his first Ashtanga Yoga class in 2006 and from that point on, he has not stopped. When he embarked on his first trip to Mysore, India, in February 2008, practicing with the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois, he delved even deeper into the practice, and fully committed himself to the method. In January 2011 he had the honor of receiving his Level 1 Authorization to teach from his teacher, R. Sharath Jois. 

In Sweden, David teaches and assists alongside his teacher, Laruga Glaser. When Laruga travels around the world to teach workshops and retreats, David is the one that runs and oversees her Mysore program at Yogayama Östermalm, in Stockholm. For him it’s a great honor to help hold a space for students from all walks of life were they can explore who they are and grow as human beings with the help of this dynamic practice.
